For whatever reason I had always thought the first game at Riverfront was the All Star Game.
Aaron would hit another big HR in Riverfront before his career was over and Hal King, the starting catcher for the Braves, would have a big HR too at this new stadium. That being with the Reds and not the Braves though.

The story about that first game at Riverfront gets better every time my Dad tells it. Non-working toilets, understaffed concessions, etc. He tells me that the beer vendors just had a keg tapped out in the open, and his buddy would walk up and act like he worked there. Fill up 5 or 6 cups, then take off.

Felix use to stroll to the dish and drop the handle of the bat on the plate so that it would pop back up real quick and then he'd grab it and take his stance, of course we all had to try it in knothole.
