According to this piece on Baseball-reference, it's a loosely defined, so it's possible Rolen could be in the running for it:

Here's to hoping Volquez does enough to win the award. If he does we will be playing October baseball.

i agree. was talking to a couple of cardinal fans on my way back to the KC area. they were asking what i thought of rolen and i told them edwin who.:D without rolen this team is not a contender.

Just based upon shear lousy numbers/low point, Alex Rios has had a a huge turn around during the first half of the season.

Anyone notice that Miguel Olivo has rubbed a magic lamp or something too?
