Not that Jeff Stevens has awesome stuff, but for all the talk about Jay Bruce... that's part of the maturation this year of Jay Bruce. Got behind 0-2 or 1-2 and worked a walk.

Hes got a great eye this year.

Hes got a great eye this year.

There's been a lot of positives from Jay Bruce this year. Lot's of growth. He's actually improved quite a bit against lefties.

There should be nothing but tremendous faith in Bruce (just as the REDS have shown with him and Stubbs).

Although not a 4 game sweep, this is like the best possible way to win 3 of 4 against a team. Even their lone win was lame BS where they couldn't even score much with a ton of baserunners, and they get their ass beat twice and an extra inning loss, LOL.

Because one of the reasons this offense has been so successful is they're trusting each other and playing as a team. Also, the All-Star game has been a joke for some time now.

Watching Ondrusek throw up 94 mph sinkers, I just had a thought. If Masset can get his act together a lot and if Cordero can get his act together a little, we could potentially have a very very good bullpen. Bray is back, even after yesterday, I like Jordan Smith, and possibly Chapman in the second half... it really can be a very impressive bullpen.

The Reds fan in me feels for Lou a little when I see his face in the dugout. He means so much to the Reds organization and to have a team die on him like that is not his fault. That being said.. I HATE THE CUBS AND THIS HAS BEEN THE GREATEST THING TO WATCH ALL SEASON

I feel bad for Lou. I don't think this is his fault.

Having said that, I think he gets fired at the All-Star break. I also think Cubs ownership trades away who ever they can except for the future. Not sure there is any demand though.

I think teams are a reflection of their fans. If you accept losing, losing you get.

REDS' fans don't accept losing. That's why ownership got changed twice, G.M.'s got changed 3 times, and we now have, in my humble opinion, the best young talent at the Major League Level, and a pipeline of dynamic proportions waiting in the wings.

I'm not saying "Dynasty", but I am saying "Contenders" for the next 8 seasons.

They are honestly going to have to do something because it's obvious Lou has lost this team. I'd like to see Lou get into broadcasting somewhere along the line. I honestly think he would be a good hire for the Braves in the open position at the end of the season.. but who knows.

I gotta say, and some may disagree, but I'm glad this game was on WGN. I respect the troops. But, man, I want to watch a ballgame.

Between songs and pictures and quotes and constant scrolls and cut-ins it got insufferable to watch the Reds coverage. Some times less is more, a couple of quick tributes would be nice. I don't need to be bombarded with stuff.
