It would be nice if Leake could get the best infield D the Reds have instead of the worst every time he pitches. Seriously 50% ground balls and he get Cairo and Cabrera every time he throws.

Reds are 4-6 in games where Rolen doesn't start.

Leake has been the most often recipient, as a starting pitcher, of Rolen's off days. Why he gets the short hand, I have no idea. I think Dusty should take that into consideration. This is Leake's 5th start without Rolen starting.

I dont care if Janish plays a ton but Cabrera basically plays every day. I dont know why he doesnt sit similarly to Rolen. If Cabrera was hitting I wouldnt care but hes been struggling for over a month. I think Dusty just doesnt think Janish could swing and pop out to short a ton like Cabrera does.

It (scoring more runs than everything else) actually has everything to do with us playing the Cubs, Pirates, and Astros so much, while playing in a beer-league ballpark.

Getting runners in from 3rd w/ less than 2 outs speaks more about their ability at getting runs in than total runs scored does.

So basically you're saying Charlie Manuel is an idiot?;)

In all seriousness though, and someone can perhaps rightfully make that point in a nicer way, it's tough for an All Star manager when he has to take at least 1 guy from every team. And while Votto better make this team when it's all said and done, I would almost hate to see Votto make it and Arthur Rhodes get left off. Votto is going to make some All Star teams before his career is done... at least I sure as heck hope he does.

Rhodes is 40 and a set up guy going to his first All Star team in his career. That's a great story, and also well deserved.

Other than that, Stubbs is not "there" yet either. Hernandez and Hannigan are decent bats, but don't really scare pitchers as far as a threat to take them deep goes.

No offense intended. I simply disagree with your opinion.

I just dont understand why the hate of Bruce is so strong. Is it beceause he isnt the best player in the majors? I think everyone hates him because hes not Godly. He still very good and 4th best player on the Reds. One with 3 all star position players. Its just absurd how much crap Bruce gets considering how good he is.

Hes been one of the best RFers in baseball since the 1st week of the season. No one can come up with a reason to hate him other than "RISP" stats. Ignore all his other stats in favor of a limited number of ABs. I just dont understand it.

bruce's defense is solid. i think people just wanna see him hit better, they want him hitting .330 or something. if he can hover around like .280 all year the reds are gonna be in business.

Yea I mean he has a .600 OPS last year and taht was hitting .211. He had a .298 OBP.

Get the average up around .250 or more you are looking at a very solid ball player for the league minimum. He has the ability to take walks so his OBP could be in the mid .300s. He could easily get around .700.
