So lets see when that blazing speed has had him employeed by....

Cincinnati Reds
Oakland A's (one day)
Washington Nati'nals
Philadelphia Phillies
Atlanta Braves

And thats just since what MARCH?!?! Did he sign back with Houston too during spring training or was that just rumored interest?

Thanks, just when I was wondering home many teams he's been on since he left the Reds.

The deal was pretty much to save some money and that's really it.

Challenging Ryan Freel for number of uniforms he can collect in one season. Farney got what, four or five last year?

Which one, signing him to a two year deal or trading him away. ;)

Not including the Reds' salary dump, Taveras was released for the fourth time this year today. This time, it was by the Braves. He hit .119/.213/.143 for their AAA team.

And we wasted Adam Rosales and 4 mil on him... Why again?

Shooting for last place in your triple A fantasy league were you? Don't fret Josh Anderson has to be available.

Would love to see Mark McGwire take a shot at "fixing" him.

Many have summed it up to say, "It's Jamie Quirk's fault." Apparently he was the one who pushed hard for the Reds to sign him, but he's no longer in the organization.

Basically, get over it, WJ has made enough good moves that he should get a pass for a dud.

And Taveras is back. The Rangers just signed him to a minor league deal.

I wonder how many more teams he'll sign with before the season is over.

As the old adage goes, you can't teach speed. Lots of teams likely think they could tweak something in his swing to allow him to use that speed better. He'll likely keep getting offers for the next year or so.

Until he officially plays in every AAA stadium in baseball.
