Ramon Hernandez says his left knee is better, but he could not say when he will be able to return to the lineup.

“See how it feels day-by-day,” he said.

He does not think it will require time on the DL.

“We will see each day,” he said.

Guess it's Corky Miller this week.

Just have 6 games to get through before the All-Star break. Then Hanigan should be ready as well as Hernandez after that.

It's your time to shine, Corky!

"It's Miller Time!"

So if, God forbid, Corky gets hurt - who catches ?

Cairo ? Janish ?

Corky is batting .308 w/ a .923 OPS in July.

This could be like the week Cairo subbed for Votto and did a very nice job.

How is Corky Miller going to get hurt? He doesn't have any tight muscles to pull. He's too big for someone to hurt him. He doesn't run fast enough to pull a hamstring.

Corky Miller isn't going to get hurt.

Even if he gets hurt, he'll still play, as he knows this is his last chance at the Majors.

Razor mans up and goes out there. Besides, have you seen that body on Corky? He is indestructible! :beerme:

I love that things are going well enough that people can think this way. Hope this is the case if Razor is out very long.

i'd say send Ramon to the DL and let his leg get 100% and call up Hannigan until the All-Star break.. really nothing to lose by doing that..

Hannigan is still on rehab.

I know that, but I figured he would be ready by now.. He's been playing the last week and a half

Im guessing he could but I also doubt that the Reds holding him back to give Corkey miller more ABs. Hes probably not ready if hes not on the major league squad.

Am I the only one who thinks of the TV show, "Life Goes On" every time I hear, read or speak the name Corky?

Anyone alive in the late 80's/early 90's does.

So lets see if I understand this, your catching position has 2 people able to play that position and 1 of them is no guarentee that he can play should he be called on? Wow glad to see that....

If something happens to Corky, Paul Janish will catch and will also hit two home runs.
