6-2 Cardinals. Bottom of the fifth and the first two Rockies reach base.
Two outs and runners on second and third and the Rockies let the pitcher hit. Sound thinking. He doesn't deliver, of course. And then proceeds to give up three runs in the top of the sixth. 9-2 Cards and the lead is down to one game.
Okay, unless a miracle happens.

A miracle took place. This HAS to be the Reds year. Unreal. I'll bet Tony LaRussa is doing some serious drinking and driving tonight. And, as luck would have it, I just stuck Seth Smith into my lineup in Fantasy Baseball. Pure luck.

Putting Winn in right as a "defensive" replacement, and then positioning him on the track cost them the game.
He makes Dusty look like John McGraw. I don't see how the Cards tolerate such incompetence. How can his players respect him?

I just want to say that I had given up hope on this game and had already turned off my computer, when, and I don't know why, something made me fire up the old computer and edit in that last sentence about a miracle happening.
Needless to say, I will be playing the lottery tonight. :)

LaRussa can and does "overthink" situations out there from time to time.

There was some serious Magdal Mojo working last night. :beerme:Like you, I had lost interest in the game after the Holliday 3 run homer....I was watching "Futurama" and had an impulse to switch back....a miracle indeed.;)

Two days later and SportsCenter still can't get the score right. Just saw a recap of the last two nights and they showed 10-9 as the final in the first game of the series
