Well at least the Sun Deck will be fun to read tonight.

After the last 3 games, I'm not sure I can blame them for what they'll say, 1st place or not.

Anyone know how many runners Ondrusek has allowed to score after coming in with runners on?

Travis Wood looks devastated. As he should. This is a sad situation.

I hate losing.

But seeing things like a ridiculous gem by Wood, and more stellar stuff from Bray.....I'm confident the 2nd half will see the Reds find another gear and put the Cards away pretty quickly.

I couldn't agree more. I'm bummed that we lost...but I just told my wife, that was a helluva game to watch. Totally a playoff atmosphere. Great strategy, FANTASTIC pitching, nice execution all around. I can't even get on the hitters in this one, when we had chances to score...it was simply great pitching that got out of it...not bad at bats. Great, great game.

We need to replace 2/3 of that bullpen.

10.2 consecutive scoreless innings coming into tonight...ZERO hits allowed in his last 5 outings. ~from Philly announcers

I also hate the AS game and the AS break. It's tradition I know, but it should have no bearing on how a team plays close to it. I don't have the statistics handy, but I'd guess the Reds have had more than a few meltdowns just before the mid-season classic.

They are 5-5 in the last 10 games and have lost the last three in extra innings. It's far from a meltdown. Not to shabby considering they have played the 3 top payroll teams in the NL.

This series has sucked, but I'm not going to panic. If we win tomorrow we'll be 10 over and at least two games up on the Cardinals going to the break.

We just need to GTFO of Philly.

I'm sor confused. I though the veteran leadership of Cabrera was teaching us how to win. I guess we don't know how to any more...

What's the consensus on the double in the 11th. We got one in here claiming Gomes was to blame. I truly don't know.

He took a bad route to it and for some reason gave up on hit when it hit the base of the wall.

I see no reason why that shouldn't have been caught.

I didn't think it was catchable watching it live. But yes, the replay show him taking two steps in, one step towards center, and finally taking the angle on the ball on the 4th step and then still could of had a shot against the wall.

BTW, Keels junxed thd no-hitter and perfect game by stating that Wood has a no-hitter at the beginning of the inning.
God help us.

I was watching the game but listening to Marty and Jim Kelch.

They both talked about the perfect game from the 6th inning on.

Heisey probably grabs it. This won't be the last time Gomes' defense hurts the club. Hard to sit a guy with 60 RBI's though.

It could be worse: Scitt Kazmir has given up 13 earned tonight.

You're right. They both pitched brilliantly. As for the stat...it could be completely wrong. I'm only repeating what the Phillies broadcasters stated.

But IMO, Logan's been EXTREMELY good since his second callup. Almost like he was during spring training.

He took a poor route...but even a perfect route...that's a double.

Lee gave up 6 including 3 dingers in his Ranger debut. :D Against the Orioles! :O)

The starters did their job in this series. 24+ innings of 6 run ball. Only 2 walks and 14 K's. The bullpen has been horrid. A total of 7 innings allowing 10 hits and 7 runs. The saddest stat is the bullpen allowed 7 walks and struck out only 3.

To torment with lusting after Cliff Lee or whoever. We need some arms in that bullpen who can pitch. At present we do not.

My iphone is impossible to type on LOL....

Scitt/Scott Kazmir is terrible.

You have to try to give up that many runs.

Missed that bold prediction didn't I? :)
