:beerme: Here's to forgetting last night ever happened. Or saying were down 7-0 in the 9th and came back to score 7 but lost it on a heartbreaking homerun in the 10th. :D I like our chances tonight. I know we face Halliday but we already beat him once and we got Hannigan coming back and Travis Wood going up against a lineup of left handers.

Go Redlegs!

The last game they faced Halladay and Halladay got a strike zone that was five feet by five feet. He's sick of that kind of umpiring when his pitchers don't get the same strike zone.

This has the looks to be an awesome pitchers duel

The Phillies' Left-handers need to start swinging to the opposite field through that chasm which is the Cairo-Cabrera-Gomes Defense. There are singles and Doubles to be had all over that side of the field.

If Wood can keep it inside on the left-handers and outside on the right-handers, he should do well tonight.

Stubbs defense isn't as great as everybody makes it out to be. He just has great range and it makes him look better than he is. And Gomes, although he has cooled off, has a much better bat than Stubbs, more so to compensate for his porous defense.

I think the combo of Gomes in LF and Heisey in CF offensively and defensively will be more valuable than the duo of LF Heisey and CF Stubbs.

How often is Gomes really in a position on defense where one play he makes is going to save or cost the team a run? Once every couple of weeks?

Wood is an athlete. He WILL get the run in. All he has to do is make solid contact and bust his butt down the line.

We have no f'n clue what we're doing out there, basically. This is going to be Game 3 of games we should have won in this series, that will probably keep us out of the playoffs by the end of the year. But don't worry, Walt still likes our team as he's twittling his thumbs watching the team burn.
