Anyone watch the Bats game and have insight as to what was up with Klinker?

Also, for those with Milb.tv, the Billings Mustangs are about to start playing and are on tonight and tomorrow night.

I'd like to see him get some time at Louisville before the season is over. Let's find out if he can contend for a roster spot next spring.

Confusion just set in.... Yorman Rodriguez has missed 2 weeks, yet still leads the team in RBI. Just came up to the plate with 2 men on (1st and 2nd) and as the cleanup hitter, he was up there bunting. It was a sacrifice, as he made it known early that he was bunting.

Of course the next batter does what he should, grounder to the right side. The second baseman lets it go right through his legs and 2 runs score. Mustangs up 2-1.

Duran's two hits have been hit very hard. He has however made two poor base running mistakes. On second base he tried to go to third on a grounder to SS and was thrown out. Then on a wild pitch he was halfway to thirf before he realized the guy on third wasn't running home. Fortunately for him and the Mustangs, the Chukars (the team they are playing) botched the run down and he got to third and the runner on third scored.

Billings is up 11-3 and the Chukars have 3 errors in the 6th inning alone. It has not been a well defensed game by either team so far tonight. The video just stopped as well.

Billy Hamilton, as a lefty, should have just had a triple. By the time the ball got to the cut off man, he was nearly at 3B. The only problem was, so was another runner who was held for some reason.

When did Hamilton begin switch hitting in games? I only ask because he has put up this line against righties this season:

Entire Season AVG AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS OBP SLG OPS
vs Right .297 74 18 22 5 2 0 3 9 17 8 3 .376 .419 .795

I assume that it was fairly recent because to put up that line while just starting to hit left handed would be amazing.

Also, does his left-handed swing look natural?

Hamilton began switch hitting in high school a little bit, but was very raw with it. He did it last season (he is naturally a RHH) and this season he is continuing with it. His swings both look fine.

Right now, yes. If he grows a little bit more, I don't know. That is one thing that makes Stubbs speed so special.... its coming along with a 6'4" and 210 pound body.

The estimated distance of Juan Francisco's home run has been changed. It is now estimated that the ball traveled 484 ft, making it #2 on the all-time Louisville Slugger Field home run list.

Francisco's home run landed just below the Budweiser board in right field above the bleachers

I'm working on getting a video available of the prodigious shot.
