Citing that Fielder has 181 HR's by age 26 and every player who has done that is in the HOF.

His daddy, was pretty much done by age 33.

I think this will be one of those times that Boras fails to get what he wants for his player. I see Fielder taking less when it's all over.

They turned down $20M per year. That's ridiculous.

they are probably hoping that someone offers 17 or 18 for 7 years. I dont know who is going to take him at that price. Good player but not someone I target for a long term deal.

Like his father, his size may well be a hindrance in the future. He's a good ball palyer but you could spend that money a lot more wisely.

.....and Leon's getting larger! LOL.

Reminds me of what Prince Fielder will be doing as he gets older, just like his daddy, Cecil.

Yeah, the Hall of Fame reference is all well and good, but in general bad bodied ball players lose it quicker than their more svelte, or at least normal sized counterparts. There are exceptions I'm sure, but chances are better that Prince will lose it and lose it quickly when he does.

If I had a team, I wouldn't even offer Fielder 5 years $100M....Ridiculous in my opinion.

I don't think he want's to play for the Brewers. He will go to free agency and sign the same deal with a big market team that has a chance to win. He could play for an AL team and play 1st some and DH. This would extend his career...or so he thinks so.

I doubt the Yankees or Red Sox offer. So I think he's SOL.

My only question: Who is Votto's agent?
