We could have a shot at both. Joe has family in cincy, and walt and Tony have a long history, so whom should Walt go after and name as our new manager next year since both are FA managers next year.

If you hate Dusty than you would hate LaRussa even more. I severely dislike LaRussa...at least Dusty is a nice guy who makes strange baseball decisions. LaRussa is a jerk and makes many of the same strange baseball decisions.

I would disagree on LaRussa, you can say he makes some wild moves, but he produces winners.

not 1 winning season in 10 years!!!Do you really think were gonna replace our manager after a possible playoff season.

Why? Dusty's contract is up, both Tony and Joe are also at the end of their contracts. It's pretty sure Joe won't be back in LA next year. He has family here in the Cincy area, it would be a good match. Have him bring Mattingly with him as hitting coach also.

Ask any Cardinals fan. LaRussa is pretty old school and micro manages to the extreme. He does all the lefty/lefty righty/righty type stuff that dusty does. And his Sunday special's are the worst.

He has had many winning seasons, but has had many very talented teams.

We have a talented team.

If Walt thinks he can get Tony, in a heartbeat he will be our next manager and our owner will be there supporting him all the way. And even with Torre, both are more qualified and better managers, so yes if was just some AAA guy no, but when you can get HOF managers, yes in a heartbeat.

Somebody please tell me why Torre is a great manager again? The only teams he's really had success with have had huge payrolls. As for LaRussa, I don't think I could stand someone who wears his sunglasses at night.

Dusty isn't going anywhere. He's got us in a division race. Why do we want overrated managers?

Reds seem to be doing fine right now. Enough with all the pointless threads.

How is either Torre or LaRussa overrated?

So I guess that eliminates Corey Hart...the singer, not the baseball player.

LaRussa is going to retire a cardinal most likely, and will 100% not leave for the cubs or cincy. These rumors popping up are pretty strange.

Nothing against the elderly, but Torre is 70 years old.

No, thanks.
