As I don't yet see this as "confirmed" but rather, I'm seeing words like "close", this will not be reported in the stickied thread.

For a guy who was DFA's/Non-tendered/whatever, this would be a nice pull.

Is it really? Ramos has a .280 OBP in AAA as of today. He is slugging .345.

I'll wait for Chuck Norris to confirm.

Hope it's Storen. Just did a quick add on my fantasy team.

I think the fact that he is "blocked" bu Mauer has artificially raised his prospect status. Kinda like how everyone thought that Scottie Pippen was the second best player in the NBA just because he was the second best player on the team that had Jordan.

Ramos doesn't project to be an amazing catcher, but for Matt Capps, I think the Nats did well landing BA's 58th best prospect before the start of 2010.

Ramos should at least be an average catcher/major leaguer with the potential of being above average.

While he is young for AAA, I just have a tough time saying a guy with a .280 OBP in AAA should at least be average anything except a pitcher.

He was .341 last year at AA. I'd say it's a little early to claim too much.

Agreed... and Doug, coming from you it surprises me that you have this take on the kid. I would think you would show more patience ala Mesoraco. But I digress.

One exec's theory: #Nationals moving Capps to clear 2011 payroll room for #Diamondbacks' Edwin Jackson, whom they still want in trade. #MLB

The Nats could have one heckuva rotation next year. Depends on Zimmermann coming back healthy...

I'm not a big Jackson fan. Not sure why they're so adamant about grabbing him. However, no doubt that if Zimmerman comes back healthy, he and Strasburg could be a real nice 1-2 punch.

Good move by the Nats to sell high.

I am assuming the White Sox would then spin off Jackson to the Nats for Dunn.

Storen or Clippard?

I would think Storen. That's what they had in mind when they drafted him.
