I figured now would be a good time for this thread with everyone but the Reds playing tonight.

Only a few people seem to post in the game threads forum. Maybe with a place to discuss multiple games we will get more discussion.

Tonight:
NY (Santana) at Philadelphia (Hamels) 7:05
Colorado (De La Rosa) at Pittsburgh (Ohlendorf) 7:05
San Francisco (Cain) at Atlanta (Hudson) 7:10
St Louis (Westbrook) at Florida (Johnson) 7:10
San Diego (Richard) at Arizona (Lopez) 8:10

Either the Mets/Phils or Giants/Braves will be on MLB network tonight.

If someone can post the matchups each day that would be great. :beerme:

I hope Josh Johnson is his usual self and shuts down the Cards tonight.

It sure would be nice for him to cool off those hot bats.

Cain/Hudson is a great matchup, I don't really care who wins that one.

that phillies/giants is for wildcard implications, you can bet your bottom dollar both teams will slug it out.

Who is everyone rooting for in the Philly/San Fran series? I don't want any part of either team in the playoffs but I'll be pulling for the Giants.

I don't want to see the Phillies or the Cards. I feel we matchup pretty decently against everyone else. But on the same note, I would like to see the Cards make the playoffs that way we wont see them in the 1st round. We could build a little seam and face the Cards for a chance to play in the World Series.

Wainright is 11-0 with a 1.22 era in 12 games at home (the Cards lost his ND). I would love it, if the Brewers can some how pull out a win today.

6 more outs, but the Cards have a ton of late inning comebacks lately.

Cubs are rolling over to the Padres once again. 3-1 after 6.

Is it me or do the Braves seem like a vulnerable team? They have great pitching but there is something that seems flawed about them. I can't put my finger on it, however.

davereds24
08-21-2010, 04:01 AM
They only go 2 deep and Hanson is so young, I'd prefer to play them if we make the playoffs. Without Chipper they need Lee to get hot. Jurrjens has been hot since the Reds got to him too.
