Simple question, should the Reds make a waiver wire deal for a starter. If yes, who should they target and why? If no, state your reasons for why they shouldn't.

no. doubt there is a guy good enough thats available worth getting. were already very deep there. and the guy to get is already been taken. cliff lee.

No. Bailey or Harang deserve shots if space becomes available.

Who in the crap are you gonna get? Anyone good would be claimed long before we had a shot at them.

Doubtful any #1's will be waived. We've got a bunch of #2's and #3's on our staff. The Cards have (2) #1's in Carpenter and Wainwright, then a #2 in Garcia and then a couple of hacks.

He tried to make a deal, but the Mariners wanted the Rangers' young hitter more than our young hitter. What are you gonna do?

If the Rangers have prospects that appeal more to the Mariners there is nothing more Walt can do. He offered Alonso who is probably our best hitting prospect that's close to being ready.
