The First Place Louisville Bats!

At the beginning of the season, I wouldn't have been surprised to read that...not at all. But after the first half they had...I'm freaking STUNNED by the turnaround they've pulled here. Great, GREAT stuff.

Bats by month:

April Record: 7-15
May Record: 17-13
June Record: 12-16
July Record: 22-6
August Record: 9-1

They've won 19 of their last 20 games

Balentien HR over Drew Sutton

3-2 Clips

In Jax, Negron led off game with homer. Next time up he scored from 2b on errant pickoff. Catcher kicked him in head. Next time up they PH for him and I no longer see him on bench.

Catcher might get plunked. He's up now.

Edit he did not

LeCure has blown up in the 5th

8-2 Clips

Sutton just hit a HR for Columbus

There's nobody in the Bats pen yet

Now Sutton decides to get a hit.

Columbus crawling out of the crypt.

Negron bck on bench. Avery gives up 2 run bomb 2-2

08-13-2010, 09:20 PM
The DSL Reds were swept, 7-6 and 3-2. The only notable performance was LHP Wandy Peralta (19): 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 6 K . . . ERA 2.38.

08-13-2010, 09:22 PM
Josh Ravin was lights-out for Lynchburg tonight: 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 6 K. The Hillcats lead 6-0 in the eighth.

08-13-2010, 09:25 PM
Justin Reed is back in Dayton, leading off and 2 for 2.

Now I see that Satterwhite pinch-hit for him in the sixth. Don't know what his deal is.

08-13-2010, 09:45 PM
Lynchburg won 6-1 behind Ravin's great start. Soto hit his 18th.

Andrew Means is now with the Hillcats.

So far, a strong start for Tanner Robles of Billings: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K. It's 0-0.

08-13-2010, 10:34 PM
Oliver Santos tripled in Duran and Jonathan Kaskow. 2-0 Billings in the fifth.

Good to see Yonder get to the .300 batting average mark with Louisville. He has been tearing the cover off the ball the last month and a half after starting slow in Louisville.

It's no coincidence the Bats hot stretch coincides with Yonder's torrid stretch.

Talked to Negron after the game. After he had gone out to the field he started getting a headache so they took him out. He said he was ok.

08-14-2010, 01:39 AM
Juan Duran: 2-for-4 HR (#4)

08-14-2010, 01:41 AM
Kyle Waldrop pinch ran in the AZL game. Didn't get an atbat though.

Hope he's OK. The Mudcats are now 10 games out and in last place.
