Whyyyyy? We already have enough of a logjam on the 40-man. Now we have to dump someone to make room for a guy that's going to go to single A.

Wait, I'm new to being a diehard fan so does this mean he has to be a September call up?
How would this effect Hanigan and Hernandez ?

MLB.com's Jonathan Mayo reports that the Reds are finalizing a major league contract for first round pick (and number 12 overall) Yasmani Grandal. He says it's for $2.99 million and it's a major league deal, meaning that the Reds will have to free up a spot on the 40 man.
It only means he got a 40 man roster spot.
It has nothing to do with the major league club. Dont worry.

Do the Reds really need Daniel Ray Herrera? I don't see a problem with this?

I guess Danny Ray will be the guy to be let go.
