Glad to see him almost out of the Central.

He's been pretty bad lately to the point where I wanted to see him at the plate in big pressure situations vs the Reds...I'll miss the guy.

Well he just smacked 4 dingers against the Cards, so I'm guessing their glad he's gone.

Just going to say that. He was locked in over the weekend.

The Cardinals do play the Braves in September, so it can definitely help. :)

So that means Troy Glaus will move to 3rd for them? I thought I heard his arm was dead

Slightly off-topic: How is his name pronounced? Is it "Gloss" or is it "Glouse" with an "OW" sound. I think I've heard it both ways.

The Cards have 6 games left vs. the Braves, we have none.

If his arm is dead, he should go to the Cards and tutor Lopez.

The dead leading the dead.

Living in Atlanta, this has definitely been the recurring theme they've said over and over. But desperate times call for desperate measures.

Hasn't Glaus pretty well gone down the tubes in July-August?

I could see Lee to 1B and someone like Brooks Conrad to 3B. He sure lights up the Reds.

According to what I've read, Glaus to the bench, Lee at 1st, Conrad at 3rd.

Prado at 3rd, Infante at 2b

They're going to use Prado at 3b and Infante at 2b I think.

Prado at 3rd, Infante at 2b

Prado is back off the DL after his crash-landing at GABP home plate?

That was one of the most spazz slides I've ever seen.

Glaus has been an absolute 0 for the Braves at the plate.

In July, he hit .182 (14 for 77) with 4 XBH (all 2Bs) and 5 RBI.

In August, he's at a robust .208 (10 for 48) with 2 2Bs, 2 HRs, and 9 RBI.

For the year, he is OPSing .749, which in the NL puts him just ahead of Jeff Keppinger (.743) tied with Jason Bay (.749), and just behind...

Derrek Lee (.751)

Can we change the title of this thread? Deal is official.

The Cubs traded first baseman Derrek Lee and an unspecified amount of cash to the Atlanta Braves for minor-league pitchers Robinson Lopez, Tyrelle Harris and Jeffrey Lorick. Lopez and Harris are right-handers, and Lorick is a left-hander.

Anyone know anything about those prospects?
