The easy part of the trip is over, but hopefully we can keep playing well. We have pretty good pitching matchups, but there aren't many pushovers in that group. The Volquez/Cain matchup strikes me as our biggest disadvantage at the moment because of Edinson's inconsistency. BUT, if he is on, he can definitely give us a chance to win.

Fri - Bailey vs. Carlos Monasterios (for Padilla, who was DL'd)
Sat - Cueto vs. Billingsley
Sun - Arroyo vs. Kershaw
Mon - Volquez vs. Cain
Tue - Wood vs. Sanchez
Wed - Bailey vs. Bumgarner

Padilla just got put on DL right?

Anyhow, those are all pretty tough names. Should be exciting!

They all 6 are tough matchups. All 6 have the potential to be dominant on any night. An Kershaw, Cain, and Sanchez have all been very good this year. Bumgarner hasn't been to bad either. However, out SP's are just as good, should be a fun 6 games.

Good catch. Apparently that story just broke in the last hour or so. Will edit above. Apparently some fella named Carlos Monasterios will start in his place.

It would be nice to see our good starting pitching outpitch their good starting pitching. It would go a long way in building confidence for the postseason.

And if we could survive this stretch, maybe going 4-2, we would surprise alot of naysayers who say we can't beat good pitching.
