Regardless of the outcome of the game, I really do like tonight's lineup vs. righties.

Totally agree!

And Puffy, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree, but he's gotten by w/ smoke and mirrors in his starts. In 4 of them, he has walked at least 4 guys and in just about every one of them, he's just above a 1:1 strike:ball ratio. Just because he's gotten out of a plethora of jams doesn't equate to good. Hence not much hope because eventually, all those BB's and balls are gonna get to ya.

And Puffy, if the Reds come back and win tonight, do you really give Volquez credit because the Reds won in his start even though he doesn't get out of the first? Obviously, I'm being rhetorical, but the point remains.

It's a darn good thing the Giants staff misses alot of bats I don't know I have ever seen a worse defensive alignment in my life. With the exception of Torres, Posey and Sanchez everyone else is below average. Too bad we seem to be hitting balls right at them.

FWIW, the Giants are ranked 3rd in the NL (behind the Pads and the Reds) in DER.

So, they are turning balls hit into play into outs.

I guess, but Wood and Bailey had better be good and go 7 or we're in big trouble. We could be even with the Cards at the end of this series. I hope Dusty and company realize that there is no room for error. Cain at 81 pitches through 5. He might go 7.

Sorry WV...I have to.

The Reds are gonna lose to Matt Cain and you now have us tied with the Cards in 48 hours. This less than a week after your "watch the Cards win 10 in a row" proclamation.
