The deal is awaiting his approval. He's owed 1.8 million of the 8 million 1 year contract he signed for this year with the Tigers. I think he's going to accept it and have a chance to help the Sox get in to the playoffs.

Glad to see Damon back in Boston. I always liked him during his first stint there.

apparantly on monday he was leaning towards exercising his no trade clause. Now it looks like playing time may be a big factor. might come down to whos willing to put him in the lineup more.

He could be that lead off we need to allow Phillips to his natural spot, #2. Too cool to happen for sure.........

He's won a few World Series, so at this point, he probably just wants to be somewhere he's comfortable. Boston and New York are pretty intense places, and can probably wear on a player after awhile. Detroit is passionate about their baseball, but the crazy scrutiny and other garbage isn't there.
