Nobody here really thought we were out of thisWe live in hopes, but the first thing is to shut the Giants down. Wood simply had nothing for the first time this year. That happens, but it's not opportune.

Thought Gomes had one which might have made up for mental errors.

Flyout to Oswalt hahahaah.

This is awesome.

What if Oswalt has to make a screaming throw into the infield...does he do it and blow out his arm or does he defer?

Leake will have trouble ever getting major league hitters out. He throws basically one pitch and he doesn't locate. Just throws and hopes natural movement takes over.

He doesn't have good enough stuff to get major league hitters out. He needs to overhaul his whole pitching approach.

Building a pitching staff around kids (Leake, Wood, Volquez [mentally], and Cueto) means you take your lumps, Unfortunately, it came on a night you needed to pad your lead. We had to hold them and taking Leake out of the rotation and putting him in a relief role was a huge mistake.

Even right now, as a rookie with NO professional experience whatsoever, he's striking out essentially 6/9.

LaCure is simply a minor leaguer. And Leake is a starter. Chapman should have been called up. But what do I know. Wayne Krivsky thought Hamilton would blow up and Cody Ross was worthless. I don't know why you are ridiculing the move. The Reds clearly have problems getting into the middle innings with their starters these days and are getting burnt out pitching the bullpen. There's no reason to have 2 long relievers on the team. Right now, Leake isn't a long reliever. The only reason he's on the roster is because he's never been in the minor leagues before and they don't want to send him down because of that.

Putting Leake in for the whatever inning he was in for while having LeCure on the roster made no sense.
