If Stubbs slides to the home plate side of third base, he's got a shot to get in there safely. Not saying he'd have made it, but that slide on the inside part of the bag should have happened to give himself a chance.

Difference in philosophy. The guy is having trouble throwing strikes. Impatience was the thing to do in that situation. Not everything our players do is right. In this case, it killed an inning--or not. And Stubbs has another brain fart. Good grief are we killing ourselves.

Patience is relative. It's not always the best mode. Other than stubbs, Wolf has been around the plate quite a bit tonight. If a hitter comes up expecting their pitch early in the count, they should by all means swing at it. Don't let a good pitch go by just to be patient. Wolf has not been very wild. It's not like he was struggling to throw strikes.

Fans in the first row need to get their head in the game. If that's your team's player trying to make a play, box everyone else in the row out of the way and give your guy a chance.

Now if a Red hits that ball and it's Prince Fielder or someone else trying to make a play, then knock that ball away as hard as possible.
