View Full Version : Do reds players read RZ.com?

I have always been curious as to whether players read team message boards.

My hunch is that some do and some don't. Similar to guys who claim to not read the papers the day after a game.

What do you all think? Do you think our team has ever heard of RZ much less check it out from time to time?

I read it.

Thanks,

I know that some of the Indiana Pacers players and staff read one of their message boards that I read. It would be cool if they if Reds players did the same.

If they do, they aren't going to read the JV version known as the Sundeck.

Good point. Can't say I blame them.

Maybe players in the minor league system read the SunDeck.

If Dusty read RZ, the Reds would be 15 games up by now.

Wow. Now I feel like chopped liver.

There are some very decent guys in the Sundeck too.

I would if I was a player. Just out of curiosity to see what the public was saying.

The players can't post on ORG because they don't know enough about baseball to "get the call up" :D

I wouldn't be surprised to see that some of them read these boards. Hell, someone might even post regularly here as a "fan."

If Bruce Willis can post on a movie forum, baseball players can take interest in their team forums as well.

Not sure why they wouldn't read the Joey Votto version.

Schilling used to post on Sons of Sam Horn all the time.

There is no doubt whatsoever that MANY players read the various forums. When they come up as rookies and become aware of them, their natural curiosity has to compel them to read. Not to mention the ribbing that players like to do with each other; a funny put-down post on a forum is food for lots of clubhouse laughs.

It would not suprise me if lousy managers did not have a support group of posters to blindly argue anything negative about them. I mean you Baker and LaRussa!
