Man, I've been waiting for this series since the last out of our previous series with STL Good to see Brandon back in the lineup, but I sure wish we had Bruce in there too. Dude was on fire and then gets hurt. Ugh. All we need is one win in this series and we pretty much have the division wrapped up.

In Jocketty I trust. If Walt thought CDick was not gonna help the team, I trust him. The fact of the matter is that since the trade, this team has rocked and CDick has done nothing for the Brew Crew that would lead anyone to believe we gave up something special.

It does not matter if we can find a direct correlation or not. Maybe just the idea that Walt was out there trying to make a run after all convinced the kids on our roster that THIS was the year. I dunno... and I really do not need to know.

I have never had so much trust in the ability of a Reds GM since around 1974.

They have no discretion. Even when it's 9-1 odds against making it, they're going for it.

Yes, it puts a lot of pressure on the opponents, but it also gives away a lot of outs.

There's being aggressive, and there's being stupid. There's too much toothpick involved.

I don't care what anyone says, the Reds are a bad baserunning team as a whole. Phillips leads the way.

It is simply amazing how many faults this team has, at least according to its fans.

OUr GM makes bad trades, our manager never picks the right lineup, our vets should all be retired, our kids all need more time at triple A, our starting pitchers are all weak and need to be upgraded, our relievers are all untrustworthy and now we dont know how to run the bases. I am sure I am missing a lot more that has been consistently lamented this year.

I am very happy Dusty and Walt are not cowards. If they were, they would give up on players as quickly as the Sundeck. Cairo, Stubbs, Masset, Cordero, and OCab... basically a whos who of players that surged after the Deck had given up on them, would all be demoted or gone.

So let's go ahead and say that they are wrong about Gomes... that means of the six folks the Deck wanted to kill, they were right on five and the Deck is right on one.

Jocketty + Baker >>>>> Sundeck

I simply said they were a bad baserunning team. That has nothing to do with the GM. You won't see me complaining about Walt Jocketty or the front office because I think they've done a great job and I know I couldn't do any better. If I could, I would probably be doing what they're doing.
