Here's a possibility:

Baker said Bruce probably won't play tomorrow either. #Reds are looking at adding an outfielder. Sappelt is a possibility.

Here's a possibility:

Why not Dorn? More experienced, Power LH bat............

Dunno, they may just not like him? Some organizations have "their guys" and despite how well someone might do, if he isn't their guy, he won't get a shot. Not sure if that's the case with Dorn, just a possibility.

Dorn won't get a shot because Alonso and Francisco are the LHed bats off the bench.

Congrats to Alonso for his first major league hit, by the way..........even if Holliday helped a bit with a terrible fielding attempt.

From Fay:

"Wladimir Balentien would probably have been the guy. But he went of the disabled list at Louisville.

Dave Sappelt, who started the year at Single-A and has risen to Triple-A, is under consideration. Hes hitting .319 after 19 games at Triple-A. Danny Dorn is another possibility. Dorn is hitting .307/.404/.554 at Louisville.

I would think Dorn has the better chance. He has more experience and he is a left-handed hitter."

We could just sign Gary Matthews Jr.
