Sorry, but Edmonds is not even close to game ready from everything has been reported.

I read he has a torn muscle, they should have activated him while in STL and let him take the field before pulling him, he is done this season and has talked about retiring after the season.

Everything I've heard says there is no way he will be able to play for quite awhile, if even at all for the post-season. Does re-DL-ing him again later, allow the addition of someone else for the post-season? Or does WJ think he might be ready by the NLCS or Series? Somehow for these last 3 weeks regular season, somebody, Balentein, Frazier, Dorn, Sappelt, has got to get up here for some support!!

If they 60 day DL him any player in the organization on Sept 1st can replace him

Well, if you are talking about playoffs, the replacement has to be on the 40 man, and I believe they have to play the same position.
