Glad to see Bruce back, and getting the luxury of batting behind Gomes, Phillips, and Cabrera. Glad that those 3 will have the chance to have more ABs than Bruce. Really really pumped about it.

I know this is off-topic a little but is something wrong with Sam Lecure? One inning pitched so far in September.

Earlier in the summer I wrote some negative threads about Jay Bruce, saying he & Cordero were the only guys on the team I would be glad to see go.

I TAKE IT ALL BACK JAY. I'M SORRY. WILL YOU STAY PLEASE???

You think you feel bad, I posted I wanted to slap him in the face?

SO SORRY JAYSTER!!!!!:bang:

Jay is just under .280 now. He could easily reach .290 or better real soon at this rate. Wow. Say hello to our cleanup hitter for 2011.

Does Bray have a lot of movement on his pitches? I'm curious because I'm looking at the "nasty factor" included on Gameday. His fastball isn't blazing, but they are giving it some decent ratings even for those that seem like they would easier to handle down the middle of the plate. I realize the NF is just a lame indicator, but it's all I have w/out TV.

I remember seeing Johnny Bench play in old Crosley Field.
I saw him play there, but I can't say I remember it. Only reason I wore his number for a couple years is my dad was my coach. Dad was a Reds fan. :)

Once I got older and could choose for myself, I wore #14. Pete was my favorite Red back then.

LOL .. I can relate. My memories of Crosley are solely the things I heard my dad say at the time (and talking about for years afterwards). I remember him pointing and saying, "that's Willie Mays right there", or "that's Lee May", or "that's Hank Aaron", or "that's Pete Rose", etc.
