He was afraid he was gonna be "Wally Pipped" by Willie Bloomquist.

Well, I think it's now safe to assume that Bruce will make the playoff roster. ;)

Exactly what this team needed! We might be looking at a hot streak.

They need to win a couple more against the D-Backs and then go to San Diego and punch them in the mouth!

Houston is actually next not San Diego. We need to keep the ball rolling against them too.

Jay Bruce OPS on the year is .826. Basically right in line with what he did every month this year other than July.

Maybe next year he will come closer to reaching his potential and turn out some really good numbers. Seems to be some flashes of brilliance here and there but no consistency this year. If he could be more Votto-like next year this team might be hard to stop, I know he'll not likely hit for average like Votto but some of the other numbers should be close to reachable. .280 35 HR 100 RBI would be a huge plus to this team next year, especially if Joey keeps it up.

Jay Bruce has been more consistent than anyone other than Votto and Rolen on this team.

I think he is better than a .260 20 HR 60 RBI guy. His numbers for the last 3 season are all very similar and do seem consistent.

I want him, as I'm sure every one else does also, to play better than he has over the past 3 years.

His last 20 games have been great and have me believing that he could be capable of much better numbers than those that are on his baseball card.

I would love to seem him elevate his level of play and be consistent with that throughout an entire season.

His OPS is .826 with 1 terrible month. All season long his OPS was over .825 other than July. Hes been very consistent this year. He had a horrible crash in July but he probably finishes the year the reds 3rd best position player.

Hes been worlds better than last year, and the year before, and still even then he was a good player.

Seven HR's and 12 RBI in his last six games.

That's what excites me--unlike some talented outfielders who were in our organization for a chunk of the lost decade, Bruce seems to get better every year.

The Reds are a good, fun team to watch this year. They could be downright scary next year.

Dude is 23. Know where Votto was at 23? In Louisville, putting up the same kind of numbers Bruce was putting up there when he was 20.

It's a great time to be a Reds fan.

I know he's young and that is the best part, he will get better probably much better.

I'm already excited about next year and this year is far from over.
