Tony says Carp. still has some soreness from Cueto's kicks.

Here is a tweet from a Cards beat writer:

"TLR said Carp still has some soreness from the Cueto kicks. TLR is still hot about that day"

Do TLR and Carpenter show up to the ballpark in this everyday?

Yup, further proves the simple statement BPhil made. Everyone I have heard have maybe complained he said it, but haven't heard one person say they didn't agree (other then Cards fans of course).

How will Chris Carpenter explain to his son that he is the reason Jason LaRue got kicked in the head.

That's actually the case.

LaRue was just doing back-up catcher duty...keeping his short-fused, brainless ace starter from getting himself involved in the fracas, and possibly injured.

Unfortunately for Jason, it couldn't be done. I'm sorry he was injured, Cueto certainly deserved the suspension, but Carpenter was also clearly at fault.

Tony is going to have an extra month to sleep at traffic lights this year.

Makes you appreciate Phillips more. He's been playing with a swollen hand for weeks now, his batting average has suffered because it's obviously hard for him to hit, but he still guts it out in the field daily making great plays despite the injury. And you don't hear him utter one word about it or use it as an excuse.

No wonder Rolen doesn't play there anymore. They all became a bunch of whiners and Scott isn't one. Neither is Edmonds. They should put a hanging sign on the Arch that says "welcome to the city of whiners".

You hit the nail on the head. And Phillips made his comments prior to our series with STL. So apparently the Cardinals had that reputation even before they started whining about the Reds and the so-called "brawl". What a bunch of frickin cryazzes.

Maracek has some credibility. This situation is going to be brought up as long as both teams are in contention every year.

Reds fans: If that's Hanigan being kicked by Lohse, what do you say?

Well, if Hannigan hasn't gotten into a game in almost a month, can't hit .200 and OPS below .600 then I probably don't care too much.

if the roles were reversed, the Reds fans would be just as upset. Don't kid yourself.

Actually...if the roles were reversed, Dusty would have beaned Pujols, Holiday and the player that did the kicking...that's the kind of manager Dusty is.

We only have one pitcher with the balls to hit a player on purpose, and he throws so soft it does not hurt

Reds' batters have been hit 67 times this year. Reds' pitchers have hit 46.

What really got me about the brawl was Larussa complaining about one of the Reds players farting and stinking up the field. That was ridiculous.

I think the St. Louis organization should attempt to trade Carpenter, Wainwright and Garcia for prospects.
