Can almost smell the playoffs with a good chance for the magic number to be 4 after tonight. Also more importantly, solid footing on showing we're turning around this month going into the playoffs. This would be out first back to back wins in 10 days against the horrible Pirates. Not counting them, you have to go back to August 31 and September 1st to find back to back wins, which were also against the Brewers.

So this is a big game we need to close out in a lot more ways than just the playoffs. We gotta get things going again.

Not to change subjects, my husband laughed so loud at Blazing Saddles they told him he would have to leave if he didn't tone it down!:D:D:D:D:D

There were people rolling in the aisles when that came out.

Brandon is probably gonna end this season with about a .260 average (unless he gets hot), and that's a damn shame, because that's not really an indicator of how he has played this year.

That's why I thought we might lose a couple games in Houston to start this road trip. I thought we'd be fine after that, but I figured the 'Stros would be tough.

It's been a tale of two seasons for BP -- the all-star caliber season he had before the break and the downward spiral since. A lot of people seem to think his slump started after the HBP or after the brawl, but except for a two-week hot streak in August, he's been slumping pretty much ever since the all-star break.
