Same here. As soon as my class gets over at 4:50, everyone better get out of my way so I can get home.

I remember '95, but I was in my first year away at college (so really I don't remember it). I haven't been this excited about baseball in October since 1990, and for the first time I get to go to a post-season baseball game (Sunday). As for today, I get off work at 4:00, race to get the kids out of pre-school and sit my tail down in front of the TV. WooHoo, I can't wait. :beerme:

I'm (unfortunately??) old enough to remember '90 quite well. There were so many great moments in that entire playoff series....

Here's hoping we get a few more this year.

60 degrees and a chance of rain all night tonight. Wind around 5mph. In case anyone is interested, the rain could play a factor.

I've already started practicing most comfortable way to sit on the couch with laptop by my side. I only have to finalize snacks to eat and a beverage list.

In 1990, I was in elementary school. I remember the kids on the school bus taunting me, telling me the A's would dominate. And honestly, I believed them. You know what happened next.

I feel like I did on the school bus before the World Series started. Everyone tells me the Reds can't beat the Phillies. But now I know better.

I wiil be in the upper deck behind home plate today. First playoff game I have ever seen, should be an experience.

I feel obligated to chime in about my excitement...

21 years old, went out last night, got very drunk and woke up at 8 and my first thought was not about my hangover or wanting water...it was "HOLY CRAP THE REDS PLAY AT 5"

I've decided to go with chili and cheap beer for game one. Start out small, by the time the WS rolls around I'll be on steaks and champagne! ;)

I'm 33 and remember '90 and '95, but in those days I took Reds baseball success for granted. I remember Pete Rose chasing the hit record and how every kid wanted to be Eric Davis. Then came the "Lost Decade".... - win or lose - today, and this series, is special. Just to have the opportunity to root for the Reds in the playoffs is an awesome feeling.

I'm old enough to remember 1990 like it was yesterday, and even have a pretty good recollection of the back-to-back titles the Big Red Machine won in '75 and '76. But I'm just as excited about today as everyone else is. It almost has a surreal feel to it, but the reality of it is sinking in more and more as the day goes on. I'm just really happy for Reds fans who have endured a long dry spell and now once again get to see playoff baseball. This is sweet!

I've been counting down the hours since I got up this morning. It's like Christmas without the snow!

I have chili on the brain. I can make chili dip, coneys, one of the Ways, so versatile! I am going to save beer until at least the Champ series! Can I steal the steaks and champagne idea for the World Series? Or I'll be over for dinner. ;)

I am having to prepare for a full audit of "up to the last 8 yars" at my work, adn I ahve only been in this program for a year now, so no cluse aboutthe files fr the other 7 years, have to go through 1,000's of files and prepare. Think much of that is getting done today???? Lets go Reds!!!! I hope all Reds fans are having a great day today- we have waited a long time for this, lets all enjoy it!!

For 15 years I have been able to say that I was present the last time the Reds won a playoff game (game 3 of the NLDS in 1995). I hope I can quit saying that after today. :)

33 years old. Was in 8th grade in 1990. Still, I remember almost every play.

Here's hoping the REDS give us another long post-season of great memories.

I'm gonna be going crazy today. My kids are in a church thing on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8, and I'm one of the leaders. I'll watch the game up until then and have to DVR the rest of it. And force myself not to check my phone for scores.

Oh, the torture!!

I'm 34 and started liking the Reds when a family friend was all excited about the 1990 season. Been to a few games there since then, and I must say that Cincinnati is the cleanest and friendliest city that I have been to, and I have been to most of the larger cities in the US.

Here's to a leadoff triple by Stubbs at 5:08pm today :beerme: ...or Phillips :)

Well alot of you know I'm a 56 yr. old woman. Most of you know of my family friendship with the Rolens. I have not allowed myself to visualize the playoffs.I just get too excited, kind of like a nervous over protective mother!! I'm going now to swim a half mile to get myself calmed down. I have my Reds Scott Rolen shirt ready to put on and enough diet coke , snacks and home made choc. chip cookies to get sick on. I have been thinking of my trips to Crosley field and River Front, with my family. I am super proud of this team and the joy they have brought me ! I believe we can win if we play our very best!

GO REDS!!!!!!!:party::bredscap:

Oh Baby! The wait is over. I feel the adrenilin building as we approach gametime! I was 13 in 73 when I started following the Reds. As a 50 year old fan I feel just as enthusiastic as that 13 year old. 99 was a heartbreaker not making the playoffs, losing to the Mets in the 1 game tiebreaker, and having to endure the happy Mets fans while living in NY. Well we're back now and will be competitive for many years!

The Reds have a formidable task ahead of them. The Phillies are a great team and Roy Holliday may just be the best pitcher in all of baseball. But as they say, you got to play the game on the field. You never know, that's why baseball is the best game going. Maybe the Reds can find lighting in a bottle and magic in their bats. Let's get them Cincy, let's get em. Go Reds

I feel like the old guy on the block amongst a group of young wippersnappers. But thats ok, we are all reds fans. I have been a Reds fan for 55 years, I remember it all, 1990, 1975, 1976, and I also remember many not so good years. But I am a Cincy fan through the good and the bad. Let's get these guys today. Go Cincy
