Don Larsen threw a perfect game in the 1956 World Series....the Yankees went on to lose that series. Smile, Reds fans.

Yeah but lets be honest, this version of the Reds that we saw tonight is the one that we love to b!tch and complain about, very confusing and frustrating, they acting as if they never played a freakin game before.

Well, whether you lose 10-9, 10-0, 1-0, or get no-hit, it's still a loss however you slice it.

The Reds did about everything wrong tonight except for the relief pitching. Couldn't hit. Didn't field very well. Volquez started and sucked. Not much else to say. Probably good that it was a total hack job and they got it out of the way. Probably nerves.

Hopefully it's behind them now and they're awake for game 2.

I said earlier today to the husband that I thought hitting was more important than their pitching because we've lost quite a few well pitched games because we had no offense. We got a nice demonstration of that today, save Volquez's implosion in the second.
