View Full Version : Who are you rooting for now?

With the Reds being eliminated (spoiler alert!) which team do you find yourself rooting for to win it all?

Do you stay in the NL and root for the Giants led by Lincecum? Or the Phillies even after they beat the Reds?

Maybe you'd like to see Hamilton and the Rangers take it all? Or the Rays come back and stick it to the Yankees? Or the Evil Empire themselves?

Or maybe, once the Reds are done, so are you.

Just wondering which team RZ is supporting the rest of the way.

Rangers.

I like Hamilton, Vlad, Cliff Lee, and Colby Lewis.

Plus, they haven't ever won a postseason series, or at least I read that somewhere recently. I'd be okay with them going all the way, despite my instincts to not be pleased that a bankrupt team was allowed to add Cliff Lee.

Call me crazy (I've been called worse) but I am rooting for the Phillies. I hate their fans, but like their team. I think it would be great for Halladay and Oswalt to get World Series rings.

If not them, then my preference (in order)would be Giants, Rays, then Rangers. Anybody but the Yanks.

Rays at 10-1 in the preseason. Can't back down now.

I'll root for the Phillies.I'd like to be able to say that no one else could beat them and that if we hadn't had to play them we'd have won at least one series.

I'm just the opposite: Anyone but the Phillies

I've got a grudge against Chase Utley and also against Phillies fans for their treatment of Scott Rolen. I'd hate to see the Yankees win it again, but I'll be for them against the Phillies. Besides, I don't want the Phillies to do what the Big Red Machine didn't, and that's play in three straight World Series as a NL team

Phillies, rooting for the team that beat the Reds up, then I'd go with Giants, then Rays or Rangers.

No real preference. I care about the Reds and not so much about who else wins. I guess I'd rather it not be the Yankees. If I had to pick, I guess it would be nice to see the Rays win before Crawford and Pena leave and break them up.

I just root for good games and good series. I hope both the NLSC and ALCS goes 7 games and the World Series too. Long, good series help MLB the most. I will say this I will root against the Yankees and whoever they play.

The Rays.

Fun team to watch.

Me too.

I like what they've done and how they've done it. Not to mention knocking off the Yankees and Red Sox with their gigabuck-budgets.

I'm reverting back to the playoff mode I've been in for the last 10 years i.e. I just like to watch good and fiercely competitive baseball.

Hoping Rangers win it all. In the NL, rooting for Giants over Philly. BUT, if it comes to a PHI- NYY World Series- Go Phillies!

With the Reds gone, I don't have my heart into any of the remaining teams, but I lived in the SF Bay Area for many years and have a lot of friends, and some family, that root for the Giants. So I hope they do well.

Baseball is not the Reds.

Football is a poor replacement for baseball.

I'm rooting for 21 more games and some history.

I want to see anyone but the Yankees win. Don't really care if history is made or not.

Agreed. Even with our Reds out of the playoffs, I'll still be watching. I'm pretty pumped about the Rays-Rangers game tonight. I'm not rooting for anyone in particular, just for some good baseball.

As a San Franciscan, I'm rooting for the Giants. The bar last night was packed and hollerin' on every pitch. A lot of fun.

I like the Rays and I'm a certifiable Yankee-hater yet....a Yanks-Giants WS would be lot of fun and probably eat up my bar budget.

I know Texas has never made it but I'm still meh about them. Plus I don't like teams named after states.

I'm rooting for Philly. Love the city by the Bay, but hate the Giants.

As far as the AL is concerned, if it can't be the White Sox, I'd always root for the Yankees.

I'm right there with you. I enjoy other sports but they are all just a way for me to fill the time between baseball games.

The only team left that I don't dislike for some reason is the Rangers, although I could force myself to root for the Rays and Giants if they're all I have left.
