View Full Version : Wow... It has finally hit me..

It really hasn't hit me until tonight but baseball season really is over. What a fun ride it was from night to night. What sucks about good baseball is that when it is going on you are getting it every single night. Then when the season is over it is just all of a sudden taken away from you.

I was out of town until about 9 last night....got home, fed the dogs, etc....realized I had not yet checked the Reds score...ran to the lappy 386 and realized the season was over.

It has been a weird adjustment. I have to say though, it is nice to finally care after the All Star break and actually notice when its over, instead of just riding it out as we have for so many years. Makes me look out the window and start counting down days to spring training already.

It has to end sooner or later, but that doesn't make it any easier. Plus I'm really not ready for winter or even to be in full football mode cause I know what that means, cold weather.

Have no fear! It's merely 167 days until Opening Day!

Other sports are just time passers.
I just can't generate the same passion.

^ I agree with what your saying; baseball, specifically Reds Baseball, is my passion. I am excited for football and UNC Basketball to start up-and have a different passion for them as I am local and its in my face- so its a more personal experience for me, but I count days for baseball season, not other sports.
