Am I the only one who is bored with this World Series? To me it just feels uneventful and I could care less what happens. The start of the NBA season has been more interesting for me to watch than this and I consider myself a baseball first guy. What do you all think.. ??

Well judging from this link, I guess I'm not the only one

While I would rather have the two best teams instead of a matchup between 92 and 90 win teams, it is still the World Series and I'd rather watch that than just about any other sport/game. The only really "ugly" part so far was watching Guerrero in right field last night.

That said, regardless of how it turns out I will feel about the same as I did in 2006 when the 83 win Cardinals won. World Series champions, yes, but not the best team in baseball.

It won't be much of a series if the Giants keep blowing em out.Where the heck is Josh Hamilton's bat, been on the phone with Ryan Howard?

Not sure I'll ever get more excited about pro basketball season than baseball.

I've tried to really care about the Series this year but I just can't find the motivation to. I don't watch the NBA though so I've been bored aka actually doing my homework when I should.

There is no comparison between the NBA and MBL. Get real.

The NBA is a complete joke.

NBA? I think basketball in general is a joke. I hate, HATE that sport. It was only created to keep baseball athletes in shape during the winter.

Would you have preferred the best series money can buy (Yanks vs. Phillies)? I'm glad to see two franchises that haven't been there before (or ever) get a chance to play for all the marbles...

If it means we don't have to listen to people droning on and on about the Yankees, Red Sox, Mets, Cubs, or Phillies, I'm in!

Josh Hamilton is wishing he was hitting like Ryan Howard did in the NLCS. For whatever reason Ryan Howard is getting the blame for their series loss but he actually had the best BA and OBP on the team and was second in SLG. But yet it is his fault. Fangraphs had a good article about this very thing.

Don't Blame Ryan Howard (http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/dont-blame-ryan-howard/)

And yes, the NBA is the most boring sports league in the entire world. I cant get through three minutes before I have to change the channel.

My point has nothing to do with basketball. My point is this series is boring me to tears and I want to turn the channel. The Rangers are playing lifeless and seem satisfied with winning the AL Pennant. I hate the Yankees but I have to say it makes a series more interesting to watch when they are in it. I think the ratings are down because this series lacks a true "bad guy." I guess what it all comes down too is that I'm still pouting because the Reds got beat out so early.

I dont care who wins, which does take some fun out of it. I enjoyed the game the other night till the inning where it blew wide open. No matter what though, I just cant stand to watch any NBA, so cant join ya on that part. Excited for college though!

I've been watching, but the games haven't been that exciting so I usually end up dosing off or changing the channel. Maybe it's a hangover from the Reds not being there.

NBA does suck...nothing like watching some Sternball. I still watch tho if there is a team I like, or some players I like that are playing.

I find the match-up interesting. However, I can't watch more than five minutes without feeling really, really jealous.

The World Series sort of snuck up on me. Starting on a Wednesday?!? What is that all about? The World Series is supposed to start on a Saturday night.

its nice to see the Giants kicking the crap out of Texas. The National League has been the American Leagues little sister for so long. It is nice to see the NL kick a little butt. It gets old hearing how superior the AL is compared to the NL.

for this series and any world series just like the Alll Star game I say GO NL, Kick there ASS

I used to say go NL but after last year when Philly threatened the history of the BRM with back to back titles I was a World Series Yankee fan. This year I am a World Series Ranger fan. If SF wins they one up us of total world titles, as of right now we each have five. No matter how horrible the Reds are I always have the 5 rings bragging rights, and I would like to keep them please.

I used to feel this way, but got over it. The way I see it, I dont care who wins, if its not the Reds, it sucks no matter which league they come from.

You wont find many bigger college bball fans then me, but I would rather be a Cubs fan then watch a quarter of the NBA.

I have watched it. It hasn't been the most exciting, but I will still watch it. I love baseball.
As for the NBA, I would rather watch an And-1 mix tape than a single NBA game today. This is coming from a guy who coached High School Basketball for 15 years. I hate the NBA of today.

Although only five games, I found it to be a great series. Some dominant pitching performances, beautiful defensive gems, and timely hitting. Seeing the Giants hit Cliff Lee in game one, and win because of one swing in game five...amazing. And I love the fact that the trophy sits in the NL for the year.

Why ya say that, cause the Yankees werent in it? I think that makes it a great one, one for the real baseball fans to watch.

I consider myself a basketball fan first, then a baseball fan. Im a current HS basketball coach and I think the NBA is the worst it has ever been. Its completely unwatchable and bores me to death. Id rather mow my lawn than watch 5 minutes.

World Series was painfully boring this year too though.. didnt help games 4-5 conflicted with the NFL in terms of viewership

I couldn't disagree more. I thought this was a very good series with two young teams that had excellent pitching.

Totally agree on this one! While I have been very disappointed that Texas's bats didn't show up and make it exciting, I would rather sit in a dentist chair all day, then watch the NBA! Nothing personally against Labron and Kobe, but if I never here their name again, I'll be a happy woman!
I love my Indy Colts and could talk all day on the amazing Peyton Manning, but I will be ready for baseball the day after the football season. Baseball has lost popularity for one reason only, in todays fast pace life, there are too many things to draw are interest. Back in the day, baseball was about it. I do hope it regains some more interest, there is nothing better than taking your family to the ballpark!!

I am really glad that 2 darkhorse teams made it to the Series. I am NOT one of those that wants to see the Yankees in there every stupid year. The NFL was really on to something when they preached parity many years back, and I'm happy to see at least a little of it in MLB now.
As for the NBA, I guarantee you that in the time it took you to read this post, somebody fouled Kobe Bryant at least twice.

i dont really care for the yankees either way. dont love or hate em but i like watching them and woulda liked to see them in the series but lose. i barely watched this series and i think the yankees being there would have changed that for me.

but im not really a baseball fan of anyother team. i love the reds and they are really the only team i ever watch until the postseason except for an occasional sunday nite game so i dont know the other players from smaller markets that well so its easy for me to want to see the yanks since i know their players.
