Sniffing around Fangraphs.com this morning when this stat caught my eye. As I understand it WAR is supposed to be the stat that encompasses all three aspects of the game - Pitching, Hitting and Fielding. And the higher the WAR, the better. I understand no stat is perfect but according to Fangraphs' calculations the Reds were the best team in the majors in 2010. Or, at the very least, the best team in the N.L. That is how I reading it anyway.
