Alison Korn, a Canadian Olympian, doesn't like that Votto won the award.

Sorry, but I am one Olympian who doesn't care that much about pro baseball player Joey Votto.

Apologies to Votto and fans. I'm sure he's a great guy, and I know I'll be flamed for my heresy.

That's quite an accomplishment considering the gold medals the Canadian hockey teams won.

Crosby won in 2007 and 2009, so the hockey team hasn't exactly gone unrecognized. The award winner is an Olympian more often than not.

FWIW, my girlfriend is Canadian and she gives the choice of Votto a :thumbup:

That award must really mean something to Canadians for Korn to get so hot under the collar about it. Never heard of it.
