I don't think I'd ever seen this discussed here. It was from November. About a possible new shoulder surgery method. Just kind of stumbled across it.

My brother in law just had labrum surgery about a month ago. He was told it was the worst shoulder the surgeon had ever seen [though I always wonder if thats not just par for the course]. He's been told to essentially not use that arm for 4 months. I can not imagine how hard it would be for a pitcher not to use their arm for four months. It's no wonder they miss a year with labrum surgery.

I don't know if he would have elected for a surgery like this, but it does seem quite intriguing to see another potential 'advance' in surgery like this that could potentially lessen the amount of damage and time missed.
