A few Reds mentions plus I got the honor of derailing the conversation for a bit:

Who (in your opinion) is the "Mystery "team from the NL Central for Webb?
2:18
Could make a case for Cardinals, Pirates, and Reds.

Cardinals because they like this type of signing, but I'm not sure if they have the money. Pirates because they had past interest. Reds, even with today's rumored denial, because they're so close to his home.

Are there any rules against dogs playing professional baseball? I'm thinking a well-trained dog might make a game-changing pinch runner.

As stupid as that is, it's intriguing. Someone get a rule book!

If they won't let me play, they won't let a dog play...

I wondered the other day, someone should sign Usain Bolt just for a pinch-runner. That would be so cool.
2:32
I think teams messed around with this in past decades, but it can be tough to carry a guy who can only pinch-run. Better to carry a 13th reliever!

Tim, taking questions on dogs over Soriano and Chris Young? C'mon man.
2:32
Calm down bro it took us off course for 6 seconds.

[Comment From Monroe]
How much of the 13 million owed to Cordero would the Reds have to eat to unload him?
2:35
I think $9MM of it or so and you'd get some teams interested.

Iijima was drafted in 1868 by Lotte.
Wow. What an amazing career path he must have had.

Thanks, great idea, Wiley and I needed a new training trick to work on.
