Anyone know when the club will notify people if they've won an opportunity to purchase Opening Day tickets?

The fine print on the web site said something about receiving the rejection/winning email by end of day 2/14.

I registered with 5 different addresses, and I haven't received a notice to any of them yet.

For those of us not lucky enough to win the Opening Day lottery, where have others found the best (cheapest) places to buy tickets? I've been to the past four or five Opening Days and would like to continue to make it a tradition. From what I've seen online, Stubhub and eBay appear to be fairly comparable - does anyone else have any suggestions on places to check out?

I've been to eight straight Opening Days and I've purchased my tickets off ebay each time.

E-Mails are out. I didn't pull seats.

Oh well. More money for DMB later this summer.

Got my rejection e-mail, too. Looks like I will be going through StubHub or eBay unless a fellow RedsZoner wins and isn't going to buy all four possible tickets...

Swing and a miss here too. But I will be there. Every year since '98 and the streak isn't ending anytime soon.

Just got my rejection notice. Probably a good thing, I signed up forgetting that my mom goes in for hip replacement surgery two weeks before, so I'll be busy helping her out anyway.

Riverfront Choice Tickets downtown usually has good seats at cheaper than ebay prices. Another thought is that anyone on here who has the opportunity to purchase tickets and has the cash should go ahead and buy as many as you're allowed to and then sell the extra tickets to others on here. If you have say, 4 extra tickets, you could post that you have 4 and then sell them to the first 4 people who respond. Just a thought.

I was rejected with one email account, but have not heard from the Reds on the other one. Maybe they are sending out the rejects first then the winners later today. So I am still holding out hope.

My company has season tickets, 4 seats to be exact. We were able last Wednesday to buy 4 more seats. Couple that with all the people who have bought the "power pack" or whatever its called that has Opening Day in it. FWIW less than one hour into the window where we could buy opening day tickets the only section available in the lower bowl was the section right next to the foul pole.

I guess moral to the story is there won't be a whole lot of OD tickets left for the general public.

Used 8 emails addresses and rejected on all of them. Happens every year. I wonder if anyone actually wins this.

OD has become a big hassle as far as tickets anyway. I've only missed 3 since 1991. I'd be just as happy for the Opening Night thing, but my wife is a slave to tradition. Once she deems something a tradition, she will make herself miserable in pursuit of keeping it up. Guess I'll look for alternative sources, or maybe the Powerpack if it has enough games we can attend

another rejection for me... Hey. How about giving first shot to those that purchased playoff tickets only to have 1 home game?

I won a few years ago, so people do win.

I have not gotten a rejection email this year. Hoping for the best.

I've just looked at the games on the Power Pack. I may skip it as it doesn't seem to be a good fit for me. I live 3 hours away and I don't want to make 2 trips in 3 days or spring for a hotel and bide my time an the day off after game 1. May 14 I will probably be busy with my kid's baseball. Cant come when the Yankees are in town, but I guess those could easily be sold. I work July 15 and the day of the August game. I really don't anticipate going to Opening Day this year.

Thurs., March 31: Milwaukee Brewers
Sat., April 2: Milwaukee Brewers
Sat., May 14: St. Louis Cardinals,
Mon., June 20: New York Yankees
Tues., June 21: New York Yankees
Wed., June 22: New York Yankees
Fri., July 15: St. Louis Cardinals
Sat., July 30: San Francisco Giants
Fri., Aug. 26: Washington Nats,
Sat., Sept. 17: Milwaukee Brewers

I miss the standing in line days. I had an outlet I used to camp at the night before at the front of the line and I always used to get pretty good seats.

They're probably holding a lot of tickets back on the hope that, as opening day draws closer, more people will sign up for season tickets or ticket packages that include opening day seats.

Which means, more than likely, there will be another ticket dump at some point.

Unless you're planning on Hullabalou, DMB is out too. He's not touring this summer.

He went back on that one faster than Brett Favre -- they're doing 4 "mini-festival" shows this summer. Informed speculation (read: leaks) indicate 3-night stands at Atlantic City, New York, Chicago, and the Gorge. ;)
