Donnie Joseph got the final three outs.

The Education Day is held annually at the park and is scheduled around an off day for many of the area schools. Hence the early start time today.

If you ever thought you wanted be a teacher you need to attend an Education Day game here. You might think twice...Seriously, the kids were very in to the game today and were very vocal in support of the team. Of course, I had to wait in line forever at the concessions but hey, it is one time a year.

Dayton has no hits after seven innings at Lake County. The Dragons scored, however, on a walk to Juan Duran, a wild pitch, a steal of third and another wild pitch. It's 3-1. Daniel Renken, the Dayton starter, fanned eight in five innings.

Yikes. Modesto scored 9 in the sixth and seventh to go up 12-2. Interesting that Bakersfield used the same three players tonight at 2B, SS and 3B, but switched them around. Henry Rodriguez, usually the 2B, played SS. Brodie Greene, the normal SS, moved to 3B. And Eric Campbell, the 3B who has been hitting like a house afire, switched to 2B.
