The further you slide JB down in the lineup, the less fastballs he's going to see.... I'm not a fan.

True, but at the same time...the way he's hitting (or NOT hitting I should say), a lower spot in the order is what he's EARNED. Just like Hanny's earned to be moved up based on his performance. Something's got to kick Bruce out of the funk he's in. Maybe this is it.

And it shouldn't be our goal to get Bruce to see more fastballs because he's struggling with the breaking balls, it's to get him to SEE the breaking balls correctly. And that means he needs to see MORE of them IMO.

With what we've seen so far this year, I'm not sure that he would see fastballs with Gehrig, Ruth and post-millenium Bonds hitting behind him.

Right now it is. Problem is I have friends who've graduated who did the same thing and neither of them is in the field they want (which is on air sports). One has a pretty sweet job at a beer company and the other is in marketing for a radio station. Hopefully I have better success.

One success story is a guy I went to high school with though. Got a similar degree from Miami of OH and is now working for FSN doing graphics. Sits right behind Thom and whomever else on a nightly basis. Lucky dude.

I think its a glitch, if you mess around with the Previous, Today, Next links enough you might be able to get it back. Thats what finally got it back for me at least.

At some point down the line, I think he could turn into an Harrang type pitcher... I don't know if we'll be able to lock him into 16-17 wins a season, but I can see him getting 13-14 wins over a full season...

He has pretty good command, and is sneaky fast.

I spent some time reading a Padres' forum today, and they absolutely loathe Denorfia. They're in meltdown mode again tonight with him starting in center.

They also don't care much for Ludwick and his offense when he's not hitting in a lineup with Pujols or Adrian Gonzalez.

Last year they at least had Adrien Gonzalez anchoring their lineup ... and everything fell perfectly for them pitching-wise ... and they still didn't make the playoffs. They are going to be terrible this year IMO.

Jay's problem is very, VERY simple, and its really starting to annoy me that Jacoby hasn't fixed it. He's dropping his back shoulder horribly, which pops everything up, especially to the opposite field.

BP's option is for $12 mil next year ... just looked it up. ($1 million buyout ... no question the Reds will pick it up.)

Bruce threw to third and it gets away but Rolen recovers and nails Gonzalez at the dish.

Think about it, dude threw a legit 105 last year. He threw 104 in Cincy earlier this year. Now he's throwing 91? I just don't see how that's possible. And don't forget this is the park where he threw 20 whatever pitches over 100 last year.
