O.k, I was bored - browsing the baseball almanac. Noticed that Joe Morgan finished second behind Jim Lefebvre. A little before my time, so I don't remember, but did Joe get jobbed?

Yes, he was jobbed. Morgan had him in just about every catagory. I don't remember WHY Jim got the nod.

Dodgers won the pennant winning 97 games. And Houston stunk on ice winning 65. That was probably a big reason.

Wasn't it Lefever that later developed a turret's like syndrome resulting in double clutch horrific throws to 1st base?

A .250 hitter won ROY. That's a head scratcher. All I remember was that he was a mediocre player on a team that couldn't hit but had Koufax, Drysdale, and Osteen dominate with 40+ starts each and a lights out closer in Perranoski (who was a local Jersey boy when I was growing up).

I always love good historic information/recollection.
