Yes. He has a handful of games there, including 19 in center.

Dayton is down 6-0.

I know Dayton has some hitting prospects...but the pitching? How bad is it?
Is Delino thought of a as good manager...communicator/teacher?

Thanks Doug

I couldn't care less about anything going on pitching-wise at Dayton. All I care about is Yorman Rodriguez and Billy Hamilton (and Juan Duran).

I know that. I do have a sense of humor. I've been a Reds fan for the last decade.

The starters and reserves in Cincy better get their act together....plenty of dudes in the minors tapping on the door.

Would it be a stretch to read into Sappelt in left?

Anybody know why Chris Richburg left the Bakersfield game early tonight?

Is there some suggestion that the Reds, currently leading the MLB in runs scored, need to get their act together?

Probably for the short term since Gomes is playing the way he is. But, long term, I think there might be something there.

That's what I was thinking.

I looked over the Louisville roster and it looks loaded.

Carolina, on the other hand, looks very weak.

Just an impression, what do you guys think?

Except for a name here and there, I agree. The Bats are loaded. Carolina is the weakest link in the chain right now I believe.

Dayton looks, on paper, like an extremely talented team. But they're so, so young. I'm guessing the second half of the season, they're going to be tough to beat.

But it'll take that long (at least) for them to compete at all in the division.

Bakersfield is impossible to gauge, as that stadium is so screwy (and the league itself is too, for that matter). You can't take any numbers there at face value. It may, however, help in perceived value of some hitters. (I'm looking at you, Henry Rodriguez. You, too, Yasmani Grandal. And maybe even you, Ryan LaMarre.) Jocketty may package a couple of them with some high end talent to land a difference-maker at the Trading Deadline.

Louisville again looks loaded. Eight or nine prospects on that team right now, not including Maloney and LeCure, who've already been used as depth.

Carolina looks rough, although I do like Puckett and Soto. (Puckett especially if he can play 2B adequately enough to be considered a true 2B and not an OF playing 2B, a la Schumaker.)
