Doesn't say which era the throwback will be from.

I hope they go with something different.

Such as either of these road unis.

Awesome!!! Do they auction these jerseys when they wear em in the Majors? The Bulls do after each game when they wear a special uni (I got a game used signed Longoria jersey a couple years back), would love to get one of the Reds throwbacks.

Dodgers have won

MORE Games
MORE pennants
MORE WS

than any other team in the NL since they moved to LA

OH and in case you still aren't impressed with us 187+ million attendance , largest total for any team, anywhere, at any time.

They fail to mention the expensive hotdogs and dangerous fans.

Always enjoy Throwback games, even when the unis are hideous. :D

Don't know why the Reds don't do more of them. They've got a great tradition of uniforms to choose from.

From what I have heard Bob Castellini wants to keep the Reds look clean and not confuse everyone with a myriad of alternates and throwbacks.

I agree with teams wearing their alternates to much but should do more throw back games.

I love the Reds throwbacks, I think they should wear the cutoff sleeved ones from the World Series years.

I can certainly understand that. You don't want to run it into the ground, then it loses its effect. Maybe something like four times during the 81 home games.

I loved the jerseys they wore at the Civil Rights Game last year. I'd like to see those 4 or 5 times per year.

Haha, this would be awesome! I personally wish they would wear more throwbacks, but i understand what castellini is trying to do.

I'd like to see both teams wearing early 1900s heavy wool uniforms and caps like they did back then. Throw in the tiny little gloves for added historical accuracy ;)

I wasn't a huge fan of the uniforms the Reds wore during the Civil Rights game both years. We will see.

They're just replicas of the old jerseys, not made from the same fabric or stitching, plus we wear modern helmets, caps, and use modern bats. It's basically just a novelty.

I was kidding in my previous post but wouldn't it be fun to see today's ballplayers decked out in heavy wool, with old fashioned gloves and heavy bats?

Those poor guys back in the early 1900s donned some pretty shoddy equipment.

Actually watching Jonny Gomes chase down a fly ball with an old seperated finger glove might cause me to vomit
