The Bats will take on the Mudhens at 2 with the following lineup:

Sappelt 8
Cozart 6
Alonso DH
Frazier 7

Griffin 5
Eymann 3
Negron 4
Barton 9

No Dorn for the second game in a row. Not sure what is going on with that.

Yet another lefty starter for Toledo, would be my guess.

edit: Bats announcer just said Danny is attending to some personal business.

Bailey 4 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 4K. 52 Pitches, 35 Strikes.

I hope they stop him at 65 or 70 pitches. I think its more important that he can come back on regular rest next time than to push the pitch count higher. They can move it up when he's cleared that hurdle.

I am pretty sure he is gong 75 pitches or 6 innings. Whichever comes first.

Bailey with 4 shutout innings with only one walk and 4 K's. Might his next start be in Cincinnati?

Sappelt is now 3-for-3 with a double.

Sappelt is now 3-for-3 with a double.

I think he needs at least one more start. He needs to show he can come back on regular rest and pitch at full strength. He had to get 2 extra days before this one.

I was just listening to the Bats game on my way back to Lexington from St. Louis, and Sappelt seems like the real deal. Also can't help but love how Homer has pitched down there. We need him in the bigs.

Eric "Warmbody" Eymann

More like Frank "Warmbody" Pfister.

So what do you do when Homer comes back? All signs point to him being ready, and at most he'll need one more start.

I think the most likely outcome is Fisher goes down and LeCure goes to the bullpen. Although I could see arguments for sending down Wood or Volquez (but I really doubt that happens).

Wood and Volquez aren't going anywhere.

For what it's worth (okay, not much), the two wins today give the organization a winning record for the season (35-33).

I was at the game yesterday. I think Bailey needs to be recalled after 1 more start....Yonders HR was a no doubter and it bounced out of the stadium.
