He's at 24 IP, 3 ER, 19 K's, 7 BB's, 1.13 Whip, 1.13 ERA

Starting to get interesting at least, he hasn't been this good for this long in 5 years. 50 / 60 IP?

When he's doing it consistently with a Reds jersey on.

It's too bad for him that we have 2 more starters on the way. I just don't see how the roster will allow him to pitch for the Reds. It's going to take a lot of injuries.

I'll get excited when the Reds get something of value for him in a trade.

Aaah, the old pitching depth dilemma again. Dusty always says these things have a way of working themselves out. Barring injury, he's going to have to make some tough decisions soon. Compounding the problem is, none of the starters have been "lights out" and have all struggled at times. Now, Willis is deserving of a shot. Does quantity trump quality? I could see Smith, LeCure and Fisher being sent down, with Willis, Bailey, and Cueto returning. But, who's the middle men?

He has Steve Blass disease. I didn't think it was curable, but maybe he will prove that assumption wrong. I'll check back in July to see if it's an aberration or not.

If, as we've pretty much suspected from the get go, the controll issues are all in his head then I want to see him do it on the big stage. When is it going to be and who's spot in the rotation does he take is the big question. Especially with Homer and Cueto coming back.

If this was 3-4 years ago it's a whole different story. Right now we have no place for him and his trade value right now is very minimal at best. IF he can continue his performance level through the ASB, then "maybe" we can deal him in with some others for another bat for the Reds.

The D-Train was as good as any pitcher in his heyday with the Marlins. Let's hope he can get back to that level with the Reds! :beerme:

I've been excited since the day the Reds inked him. I, for some reason, expect him to make it back to the big leagues at some point.

I have always enjoyed watching him play, so hope he can regain "it" and make it back. No expectations really, but rooting for him.
