Louisville Bats outfielder Dave Sappelt has been placed on the seven-day disabled list with a strained oblique muscle, reports Cincinnati Reds beat writer John Fay.
Sappelt was off to a hot start in Triple-A, showing off a .341 clip as the leadoff man for Rick Sweet's Bats.
Oblique injuries can be tedious and take time. No corresponding move has been announced as of yet. I would guess David Cook would be called up from Double-A Carolina.
