Nothing personal as I like you Mike, but this is some bad Mojo. :O) I love you and Matty posting here, but starting game threads....that's gotta be some kind of Central Division integrity violation or something. *grin*

Maybe everyone here figured the team of the fan that started the thread today would lose miserably. While that's going to be a bad thing 99% of the time hopefully it ends up being true today.:)

I can't imagine why anyone would put the team's weakest bat in front of its MVP. Talk about wanting to ensure he comes up with as few baserunners as possible.

Oh well. Could be worse. Cueto could be hitting second.

I agree he's the weakest bat in the lineup, but he has been swinging well lately and getting on base. I'm just not sure...he might be successful there. He doesn't hit with power, but he does get on base...I guess we'll see.

Brandon is really coming to play against The Cards this year. I love it!

Not just against the Cards, though you're absolutely right. But he's, to this point, having his overall best season.

He's got a .371 wOBA (previous best, .354). And at this pace, he would wind up with a WAR of nearly 5.6 (previous best, 5.2).

Though it's unlikely he'll keep this batting average, especially with a little bit an elevated BABIP and considering he's had a low LD%, on the whole he's having a great year with the bat.

I would assume that the movement on his pitches is probably easier for righties to pick up than lefties. I don't pay much attention but a lot of times when the ex-pitchers are doing commentary they will talk about how a pitcher will use certain pitches against lefties and certain pitches against righties because the movement of certain pitches is easier to pick up depending on what side you are batting.
